Job Purpose

The Investment Manager will support the management and execution of investment strategies across fixed income and related portfolio assets. The role involves monitoring market performance, supporting fund operations, preparing investment reports, and ensuring compliance with internal risk and investment policies.

The successful candidate will contribute to informed investment decision-making, portfolio optimisation, and effective client and stakeholder reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Investment Management

• Manage and monitor fixed income investment portfolios in line with approved investment strategies.
• Support execution of portfolio strategies under the guidance of senior leadership.
• Analyse market trends, economic indicators, and investment opportunities within the Ghanaian financial market.
• Track portfolio performance and recommend adjustments where necessary.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare weekly and monthly investment performance reports.
• Generate portfolio analysis and financial insights for management review.
• Maintain accurate investment records and reporting documentation.
• Support preparation of investor reports and related investment updates.

Fund Operations & Compliance

• Support daily fund operations and investment administration activities.
• Ensure adherence to internal risk management frameworks and investment policies.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
• Support audit and governance processes where required.

Stakeholder Support & Collaboration

• Work closely with internal teams to support investment and operational objectives.
• Contribute to maintaining strong client and investor confidence through accurate reporting and professionalism.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the investment function.

Qualification & Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3–6 years’ relevant experience in investment management, treasury, asset management, or financial services
• Experience managing or supporting fixed income portfolios is preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian money and capital markets
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, and reporting skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong understanding of investment principles and portfolio management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong integrity, professionalism, and accountability
