Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Literature Teacher to join our academic team. You will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ language proficiency, literary appreciation, and critical analysis skills.

You will actively guide learners through diverse literary texts while creating an inclusive and intellectually stimulating classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Delivery

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in grammar, composition, prose, poetry, and drama.
• Teach a wide range of literary texts while encouraging interpretation and creativity.
• Use effective teaching strategies to improve reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

Curriculum Management

• Develop lesson plans aligned with GES or Cambridge Assessment International Education standards.
• Adapt teaching materials to meet diverse learner needs and academic levels.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Prepare, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Track and report student progress regularly to support academic improvement.
• Prepare students for internal and external certification examinations.

Literary Development

• Guide students in analyzing themes, literary devices, and historical contexts.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and independent interpretation of texts.

Classroom Culture

• Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Foster a strong culture of reading, writing, and intellectual curiosity.

Requirements

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Literature, or Education (B.Ed English).
• A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Experience with IGCSE and/or A-Level teaching will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a relevant academic setting.

• Strong command of the English language.
• Proficiency in educational technology and digital teaching tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to engage, inspire, and manage students effectively
