Role Overview

Afrokan Hotel seeks an experienced and skilled Senior Cook to lead kitchen operations and deliver high-quality meals. You will actively prepare, supervise, and maintain food standards while ensuring a clean, efficient, and well-organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established menus and standards
• Supervise kitchen assistants and support staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
• Enforce hygiene, food safety, and sanitation procedures at all times
• Manage food inventory and monitor stock levels to reduce waste
• Assist in menu planning and contribute creative food ideas
• Ensure timely preparation and service of all meals
• Coordinate with management to meet guest dietary requirements and special requests

Requirements

• HND, Diploma, or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a cook or senior cook in a hotel or restaurant
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to lead and work effectively within a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
