Role Overview

Afrokan Hotel seeks a reliable and proactive Porter / General Support Staff member to support front-of-house and operational activities. You will actively assist guests, handle luggage and deliveries, and support the smooth running of hotel operations to create a welcoming and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist with luggage on arrival and departure
• Transport guest belongings safely to and from rooms
• Support front desk and housekeeping teams with general duties
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in public areas of the hotel
• Assist in moving hotel items, supplies, and equipment as required
• Respond promptly to guest requests and provide helpful support
• Ensure hotel entrances and surroundings remain neat and presentable
• Follow safety procedures and report maintenance issues when necessary

Requirements

• HND, Diploma, or Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in a porter, support, or hospitality service role
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
• Professional, respectful, and guest-focused attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
