We are seeking a visionary and experienced General Manager to provide strategic leadership and drive organizational growth.

Position Summary

The General Manager will oversee the overall operations, strategic direction, and performance of the organization. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, ensure operational efficiency, strengthen business growth, and promote the organization’s mission through effective management of publishing, printing, and distribution activities.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian commitment, proven leadership ability, and extensive experience within the book industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the organization’s operations and growth
• Promote and advance the mission and vision of the publishing house
• Oversee publishing, printing, bookselling, and distribution activities to ensure operational excellence
• Lead and manage teams effectively to achieve organizational goals and objectives
• Develop and implement business strategies, operational plans, and performance targets
• Prepare and present reports, budgets, and operational updates to management and stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, churches, educational institutions, and industry partners
• Ensure high standards of quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
• Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for growth and innovation
• Ensure timely execution of projects and adherence to deadlines

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must possess:

• A good first degree in any discipline from a recognized institution
• Strong Christian values and a clear vision for the development of Christian literature in support of the mission of the Church
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a senior management position within the book industry, including printing, publishing, or bookselling establishments
• Proven leadership and management experience
• Training or professional qualification in Management will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work long hours and meet demanding deadlines
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and organizational skills
