Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Planning & Development Finance Associate to support urban development planning, spatial analysis, and programme implementation. The successful candidate will contribute to urban design, GIS-based analysis, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement within development programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Support urban planning and design activities across development projects
- Conduct spatial data analysis using GIS and computer-aided design tools
- Develop maps, visualizations, and spatial reports to support decision-making
- Analyze and present spatial and socio-economic datasets using relevant software
- Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of urban development programmes
- Assist in coordinating planning-related training sessions and stakeholder workshops
- Contribute to slum upgrading, housing, and urban infrastructure initiatives
- Support documentation, reporting, and knowledge management activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on urban development interventions
- Maintain accurate datasets and support digital planning systems and platforms
Educational Requirement
Required
- A minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience with completion of secondary education; OR
- First-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, Urban Development, Spatial Planning, or a related field with at least two (2) years of relevant experience
Experience Requirements
Required
- At least six (6) years of professional experience in urban planning and design, including the use of CAD and GIS software for spatial data management; OR
- At least two (2) years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in urban planning and design, including CAD and GIS applications
Desired
- Experience managing urban development programmes and planning projects
- Experience analyzing and presenting spatial and socio-economic data using GIS, SPSS, Excel, or similar tools
- Experience coordinating planning workshops and stakeholder engagements
- Experience in slum upgrading, housing, and urban development projects
- Ability to use Python or R for data analysis is an advantage
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based management systems
Language Requirement
- Fluency in English is required
