We are seeking a detail-oriented and financially skilled Account Officer to support our accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective financial management across the organization.

Position Summary

The Account Officer will manage financial records, support budgeting and reporting processes, and ensure the accuracy of all accounting transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial discipline and supporting operational decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
  • Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for management review.
  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, and expense monitoring processes.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receivables in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting standards.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Tally ERP 9 or QuickBooks to manage financial data.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in audit preparations and respond to audit queries when required.
  • Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies for correction.
  • Support continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Tally ERP 9 or QuickBooks is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role, excluding National Service.
  • Candidates without the required experience will be automatically disqualified.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
