Position Summary
The Account Officer will manage financial records, support budgeting and reporting processes, and ensure the accuracy of all accounting transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial discipline and supporting operational decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for management review.
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, and expense monitoring processes.
- Process invoices, payments, and receivables in line with company procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting standards.
- Utilize accounting software such as Tally ERP 9 or QuickBooks to manage financial data.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in audit preparations and respond to audit queries when required.
- Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies for correction.
- Support continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Strong proficiency in Tally ERP 9 or QuickBooks is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role, excluding National Service.
- Candidates without the required experience will be automatically disqualified.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
