Role Overview
The Electrical Engineering Officer will support the maintenance, operation, and reliability of electrical systems within railway operations. The successful candidate will contribute to locomotive and power system maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with railway maintenance procedures, electrical safety standards, and workplace safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and servicing of locomotive electrical systems and power infrastructure.
- Monitor electrical equipment performance and identify maintenance requirements promptly.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with railway operational procedures and safety standards.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare maintenance reports and maintain accurate technical records.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and operational staff to ensure effective system performance.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and electrical safety standards.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements within maintenance operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ industrial experience in locomotive or power system maintenance.
- Good understanding of railway maintenance procedures, electrical safety standards, and workplace safety regulations.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of electrical systems, maintenance processes, and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and within operational environments.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prepare and maintain technical reports and documentation accurately.
