Position Summary

The Mechanical Technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The successful candidate will apply technical expertise, support production operations, and uphold the highest standards of quality and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions.
• Carry out welding and fabrication work as required.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare technical reports when required.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in welding.
• Completion of National Service.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role.
