Position Summary

The Ghana Railway Development Authority is seeking skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Technicians to support the maintenance and reliability of electrical systems and railway operational equipment. The successful candidates will play a key role in inspecting, troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and replace faulty electrical systems and components.
• Support electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities across operational systems and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out corrective maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to support maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, maintenance procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and inspection documentation.
• Support preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure efficient and safe system operations.
• Adhere to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Technician Part III Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant industrial experience in electrical maintenance or industrial operations.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical schematics.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety procedures and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
