Male Caregiver (Night Duty)

Job Summary

ComfortHands Care Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Caregiver for nighttime support. The successful candidate will provide personal care, mobility assistance, and safety monitoring to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of the client throughout the night. This role requires maturity, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with bed mobility, including turning and repositioning to ensure comfort and prevent pressure sores.

• Support nighttime toileting routines, including assistance with urinal use when required.

• Monitor the client’s comfort, safety, and nighttime behaviour, and respond appropriately to needs or emergencies.

• Conduct routine vital signs checks (such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature) in line with care instructions.

• Maintain accurate care notes and documentation after each shift.

• Communicate clearly and respectfully with family members on observations, concerns, or changes in condition.

• Maintain a clean, calm, and respectful care environment at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caregiver, health aide, or nursing assistant is an advantage.

• Training or certification in caregiving, healthcare assistance, or nursing is preferred but not mandatory.

• Ability to work night shifts reliably and independently.

• Physically fit to assist with mobility and repositioning tasks.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• High level of empathy, patience, discretion, and professionalism.

• Willingness to follow care plans and family instructions strictly.

Additional Requirements

• Must be male (role requirement due to personal care needs).

• Must reside in or be able to commute easily within Accra.

• Availability to start work immediately or within a short notice period is an advantage.
