Position Summary

Bolgatanga Technical University is seeking a responsible, safety-conscious, and reliable Driver to support the transportation needs of the institution. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient transportation of staff, students, and official materials while maintaining assigned vehicles in good operational condition.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism, strong driving skills, and a commitment to safety and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport staff, students, visitors, and official materials as assigned.
• Ensure assigned vehicles are operated in accordance with road safety regulations and institutional policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicles at all times.
• Keep accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, servicing, and travel schedules.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned transportation duties.
• Support administrative and operational activities that require transportation services.
• Observe professionalism, confidentiality, and courtesy while carrying out official duties.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must possess a valid Driving License Category ‘D’ to ‘F’.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) passes in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
• GCE ‘O’ Level, SSSCE, or WASSCE qualification will be an added advantage.
• Proven driving experience within a reputable organization will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance practices.
