Role Summary
The Trade Policy Advisor provides technical expertise and policy support to strengthen trade systems, advance regional integration, and support the implementation of trade-related frameworks, including the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The role supports evidence-based policy development, stakeholder engagement, and capacity strengthening in trade-related areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advisory support on trade policy development and implementation.
- Support the analysis and interpretation of trade regulations, agreements, and frameworks.
- Contribute to the implementation of AfCFTA-related initiatives and programmes.
- Engage stakeholders across government, private sector, and development partners.
- Prepare high-quality reports, policy briefs, and technical documentation.
- Support capacity-building activities and technical workshops.
- Conduct research and provide evidence-based recommendations on trade matters.
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks under strict deadlines.
Qualification and Experience
- Hold a Master’s degree in International Trade, International Law, Economics, Economic Development, Political Science, or a related field.
- Bring at least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable advisory or policy role.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of AfCFTA and its protocols (an advantage).
- Possess expertise in Trade in Goods, Trade in Services, and/or Digital Trade (an advantage).
- Exhibit strong organizational, communication, reporting, and writing skills.
- Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
- Work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Show willingness to travel within and outside Ghana as required.
