Position Summary
The Relationship Manager (Corporate) drives business growth by acquiring, managing, and deepening relationships with corporate clients. The role focuses on delivering value through tailored financial solutions, increasing portfolio profitability, and ensuring strong credit quality and risk management standards. The successful candidate will actively develop new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new corporate clients and expand the Bank’s corporate portfolio.
- Manage and grow existing client relationships to maximize value and retention.
- Conduct regular client engagement meetings and business development calls.
- Reactivate dormant corporate accounts and strengthen client activity levels.
- Drive growth in share of wallet across assigned corporate portfolios.
- Structure and execute lending solutions that support client business needs.
- Mobilize deposits and contribute to overall balance sheet growth.
- Generate non-funded income through fees, commissions, trade finance, FX, and transaction banking services.
- Ensure strong credit portfolio quality through effective monitoring and risk management.
- Prepare and present credit proposals in line with the Bank’s risk policies.
- Monitor client performance and ensure compliance with agreed credit terms and covenants.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless and efficient client service.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be measured based on:
Business Growth
- Number of new corporate relationships acquired
- Growth in loans and advances portfolio
- Deposit mobilisation performance
- Growth in net interest income (NII)
- Increase in non-funded income (fees, commissions, trade, FX, transaction banking)
Client Engagement
- Number of client meetings and engagement calls completed
- Level of client satisfaction and retention
- Number of dormant accounts successfully reactivated
- Growth in share of wallet within existing portfolio
Credit & Risk Management
- Maintenance of portfolio quality within approved risk thresholds
- Quality and accuracy of credit structuring and analysis
- Effectiveness of monitoring and early risk identification
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in corporate banking, relationship management, credit analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of corporate banking products, credit processes, and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships in a competitive banking environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
