As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a proactive and dedicated Human Resource Officer to join our team in Accra.

Position Summary

The Human Resource Officer will play a key role in supporting and implementing the Company’s human resource strategies and initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training coordination, and HR administration. This role requires a highly organized professional who is passionate about people management and committed to creating a positive employee experience.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

The Human Resource Officer will:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions.
  • Coordinate and administer employee onboarding programmes to ensure a seamless integration experience for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases while ensuring the confidentiality and security of employee information.
  • Support performance management initiatives, employee development programmes, and talent management activities.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and concerns professionally and effectively while promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, regulations, and internal company policies.
  • Conduct employee engagement surveys and recommend initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Organize and coordinate training programmes, workshops, and other employee development activities.
  • Support payroll administration and employee benefits processes to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Prepare HR reports and provide administrative support to the HR function as required.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years’ relevant experience in HR administration or a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of Ghanaian labour laws and employment regulations.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies

  • Practical experience using Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and managing employee data.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of HR best practices and contemporary people management principles.
