As part of our continued growth and transformation journey, we are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team and drive the Group’s financial strategy and performance.

Position Summary

The Chief Finance Officer will provide strategic financial leadership across the Group, ensuring effective financial planning, reporting, governance, risk management, and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the CFO will play a critical role in shaping business strategy, supporting investment decisions, strengthening financial controls, and driving sustainable growth across multiple business entities.

This position presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance executive to influence business direction and contribute to the long-term success of a dynamic and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Finance Officer will:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of the Group’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business planning, investment decisions, and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate business opportunities and drive organizational performance.

Financial Planning, Budgeting and Analysis

  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, medium-term plans, and periodic forecasts across the Group.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and provide recommendations to improve results.
  • Analyze financial variances and deliver actionable insights to management and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.

Financial Reporting and Governance

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial reports and management accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies.
  • Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all business entities.
  • Strengthen financial governance frameworks and maintain effective internal control systems throughout the Group.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, tax, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that support sound financial management and risk control.

Finance Operations and Treasury Management

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, controls, and accounting processes.
  • Provide strategic oversight of treasury activities, cash flow management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial effectiveness across subsidiaries and business units.
  • Ensure prudent management of financial resources and capital allocation.

Stakeholder and Systems Management

  • Serve as the primary finance liaison with auditors, banking institutions, regulatory authorities, investors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Lead the implementation, optimization, and effective utilization of financial systems and reporting tools across the Group.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making through enhanced financial reporting capabilities and business intelligence solutions.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance teams across the Group.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional excellence.
  • Support succession planning and talent development initiatives within the finance function.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Membership of a recognized professional accounting body such as ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of ten (10) to twelve (12) years of progressive finance experience, including at least five (5) to seven (7) years in a senior managerial or executive leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in group finance, multi-entity financial management, or complex corporate environments is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading financial transformation, governance, and strategic planning initiatives.

  • Extensive knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and corporate reporting.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, financial regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Advanced financial modelling, analytical, and business performance management capabilities.
  • Sound knowledge of internal controls, enterprise risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong treasury, liquidity, and cash flow management expertise.
  • High proficiency in financial systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and organizational development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
