Position Summary

Mac Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated CIC/OT Technician to join our team in Obuasi. The successful candidate will support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of control, instrumentation, communication, and operational technology systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair control, instrumentation, and operational technology systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot automation, communication, and control equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments and control devices.
• Diagnose system faults and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Support the commissioning and testing of new equipment and system upgrades.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, policies, and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve system performance and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide timely technical support.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma, Higher National Diploma (HND), Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Experience in control systems, instrumentation, automation, operational technology (OT), or industrial maintenance is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
