Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing accurate cost estimates, monitoring budgets, and ensuring that construction projects are completed within approved financial parameters while maintaining quality standards.

The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for construction projects.
• Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for proposed developments.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure effective cost control.
• Evaluate contractor quotations and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and review contract documentation and payment certificates.
• Measure and value completed work and assess variations during project execution.
• Track project costs and prepare regular financial and progress reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects remain within approved budgets and timelines.
• Support procurement activities by providing accurate quantity and cost information.
• Identify potential financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Participate in project meetings and provide professional cost management advice.

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in real estate construction projects, including residential and commercial developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction costing, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
• Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and financial reports.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
