We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team and contribute to the preparation of high-quality pastries, desserts, baked goods, and specialty confections.

This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional who enjoys innovation, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in creating memorable dessert experiences for guests.

Key Responsibilities

Pastry and Bakery Production

  • Prepare and present a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and baked goods to the highest standards.
  • Develop and execute dessert menus that complement the hotel’s dining offerings.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Produce fresh baked products daily while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Food Quality and Presentation

  • Ensure all pastry and bakery products meet established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor product quality throughout preparation and service.
  • Introduce creative and innovative dessert concepts that enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain attractive displays for pastries, desserts, and baked products.

Kitchen Operations

  • Organize and manage pastry production schedules to meet operational demands.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to support special events, banquets, and catering functions.
  • Maintain an efficient and well-organized pastry section.
  • Ensure all equipment is used properly and maintained in good working condition.

Food Safety and Hygiene

  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients and finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Inventory and Cost Management

  • Monitor ingredient usage and assist with stock control.
  • Minimize waste through effective planning and production management.
  • Support inventory counts and ordering processes.
  • Ensure cost-effective use of ingredients without compromising quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • HND or higher qualification in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar pastry and bakery role.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert presentation.
  • Creativity and passion for developing high-quality pastry products.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
