Position Summary
Stanbic Bank Ghana is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of the bank’s facilities and real estate assets.
The successful candidate will ensure that all properties, branches, and support facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will drive facilities management excellence, vendor performance, workplace sustainability, and operational effectiveness while supporting the bank’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities and Property Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the bank’s facilities and real estate portfolio.
- Ensure all buildings, branches, and operational facilities remain functional, safe, and fit for purpose.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes to maximize asset performance and lifespan.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements and improvement opportunities.
- Oversee repairs, renovations, and refurbishment projects to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely completion.
Vendor and Contract Management
- Manage relationships with facility service providers, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements and contractual obligations.
- Negotiate contracts and support procurement activities related to facilities management services.
- Ensure external service providers adhere to health, safety, and quality standards.
Operational Excellence and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, environmental requirements, safety standards, and corporate policies.
- Implement workplace health and safety initiatives to maintain a secure working environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
- Monitor utility consumption and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Develop contingency plans and support business continuity initiatives related to facilities operations.
Financial and Asset Management
- Prepare and manage facilities management budgets and expenditure plans.
- Monitor costs and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Maintain accurate records of property assets, maintenance activities, contracts, and facility-related expenditures.
- Support capital expenditure planning and asset lifecycle management initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal business units to ensure facilities support operational requirements.
- Respond effectively to facility-related concerns and service requests.
- Provide regular reports and updates on facilities performance, maintenance activities, and project progress.
- Contribute to workplace improvement initiatives that enhance employee and customer experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering), Building Technology, Construction Management, Estate Management, Property Management, Business Administration (with relevant facilities management experience), or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Facilities Management, Property Management, Project Management, or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of four (4) to five (5) years of experience in Facilities Management.
- Minimum of four (4) to five (5) years of experience in Real Estate Management, Property Management, or Commercial Real Estate.
- Proven experience managing commercial buildings, corporate facilities, or multi-site property portfolios.
- Demonstrated experience managing contractors, maintenance programmes, budgets, and facility operations.
- Strong understanding of building systems, asset management, workplace safety, and facilities best practices.
