Position Summary
Stanbic Bank Ghana is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Branch Manager to lead the operations, sales performance, and service delivery of its Suame Branch in Kumasi.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing branch profitability, enhancing customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong commercial acumen, proven branch management experience, and the ability to inspire high-performing teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth and Sales Leadership
- Drive the achievement of branch sales, revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market share and customer acquisition.
- Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships and expand the branch’s portfolio of products and services.
- Promote cross-selling and up-selling initiatives across Personal and Private Banking offerings.
- Monitor business performance and implement corrective actions to achieve agreed targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences by ensuring high standards of service excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with personal, private, and business banking clients.
- Address customer concerns promptly and effectively to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Drive customer retention and acquisition strategies within the branch’s catchment area.
Branch Operations and Financial Management
- Manage overall branch operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
- Assume full accountability for branch financial performance, including income statement management.
- Monitor costs, revenue generation, and profitability to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure operational processes are executed in line with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Risk, Governance, and Compliance
- Promote a strong risk management culture within the branch.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Monitor operational and credit risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Safeguard the bank’s assets, reputation, and customer interests.
Leadership and People Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop branch employees to achieve outstanding performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Coach team members and support talent development initiatives.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans to enhance employee capability and engagement.
Qualifications
- First Degree in Business Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional qualifications in banking, finance, leadership, or management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant banking experience.
- Proven experience in branch management, including income statement management and accountability for branch performance.
- Demonstrated expertise in sales leadership, customer relationship management, and service delivery.
- Experience within Client Coverage, Personal Banking, Private Banking, or Retail Banking environments.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
