Position Summary

Central University invites applications from highly accomplished academics and professionals for the position of Professor – Pharmacology.

The successful candidate will provide academic and research leadership within the field of Pharmacology, contributing to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, scholarly research, and student mentorship. The role offers an opportunity to influence the education and development of future healthcare professionals while advancing scientific discovery and innovation.

As a Professor, you will play a critical role in strengthening the University’s academic reputation and supporting its mission of delivering high-quality education and impactful research.

Educational and Professional Requirements

Applicants must possess:

• A minimum of a PhD in Pharmacology or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

OR

• For clinicians, a minimum of a membership certificate from a recognized professional body.

In addition, applicants must have:

• At least twenty-four (24) publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• A proven record of excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly contributions.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research.
• Evidence of academic leadership and contribution to higher education development.
• Membership in relevant professional and academic bodies will be an added advantage.
