Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Supervisor to lead and strengthen our workplace health and safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and continuously improve health and safety policies, procedures, and programs across the organization.
- Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare comprehensive reports with corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver safety training, induction programs, and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with the Ghana Labour Act, occupational health and safety regulations, and relevant international standards.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Support the development and execution of emergency preparedness plans, drills, and response procedures.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders during inspections and audits.
- Monitor workplace safety performance and recommend improvements to enhance compliance and operational safety.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous education.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in health and safety management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Ghanaian occupational health and safety regulations and international safety standards.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or related professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
