Position Summary
The Associate Professor of Pharmacology will provide advanced academic leadership in teaching, research, curriculum development, and scholarly engagement within the discipline. The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening the University’s academic reputation through high-quality teaching, impactful research, postgraduate supervision, and active participation in institutional development.
This role requires a seasoned academic or clinician-scientist with a strong publication record, proven teaching experience, and demonstrated leadership in pharmacology or related biomedical sciences.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A minimum of a PhD in Pharmacology or a closely related discipline.
OR
- For clinicians, a minimum Membership Certificate from a recognized professional body in a relevant medical specialty.
Research Requirements
- Must have a minimum of twenty-four (24) publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated record of sustained scholarly contributions and academic excellence.
- Proven experience supervising postgraduate research and mentoring academic staff and students.
