We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic (Equipment Maintenance) to join our team and support the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of our production and factory equipment.
Position Summary
The Skilled Mechanic (Equipment Maintenance) will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and supporting the installation of industrial equipment and machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting factory construction and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Perform mechanical installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of factory equipment and machinery.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Support factory construction projects, including equipment installation, steel works, and related mechanical activities.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and maintenance machinery safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment and mechanical systems to identify faults, wear, and potential failures.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and technical teams to complete maintenance and installation projects.
- Assist with equipment commissioning, testing, and performance verification.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment issues promptly.
- Follow established maintenance procedures, technical specifications, and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, manufacturing, construction, industrial operations, or technical trades.
- Practical knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance principles and equipment reliability practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety and risk management practices.
Educational Requirements
- Minimum of a Senior High School Certificate, Technical/Vocational Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
- Technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Plant Maintenance, or a related discipline will be an advantage.
- Any other relevant technical certification
