The successful candidate will play a key role in managing procurement activities, supporting supply chain operations, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities
The Procurement Officer will:
- Execute procurement processes in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best value for the organization.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, including requisition processing, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, and invoice reconciliation.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor supplier performance and support contract administration activities.
- Coordinate logistics and freight activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and ensure business needs are met.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide management with relevant purchasing and supply chain information.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any of the following disciplines:
- Supply Chain Management
- Procurement Management
- Business Administration
- Logistics Management
- Or a related field
Professional Advantage
The following qualifications will be considered an added advantage:
- Professional procurement or supply chain certification.
- Chinese language proficiency.
Experience Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Practical experience managing procurement cycles, supplier relationships, and logistics operations.
- Experience within the mining, manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industrial sectors will be an advantage.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of procurement and strategic sourcing practices.
- Working knowledge of logistics and freight management processes.
- Understanding of contract administration and supplier performance management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using SAP ERP systems will be an added advantage.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under demanding deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
