We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Product and Pricing Specialist to support the design, implementation, and optimisation of product offerings and pricing strategies that drive business growth and customer value.

Position Summary

The Product and Pricing Specialist will develop, analyse, and optimise pricing models and product strategies to enhance revenue performance and market competitiveness. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capability with commercial insight to support data-driven decision-making and contribute to Telecel Ghana’s transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

Product and Pricing Strategy

  • Develop and implement product pricing strategies that align with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behaviour to identify pricing opportunities.
  • Support the design and launch of new products and services across the business portfolio.
  • Evaluate product performance and recommend pricing adjustments to optimise revenue and profitability.

Data Analysis and Modelling

  • Build and maintain advanced analytical models to support pricing, forecasting, and customer analytics.
  • Analyse large datasets to generate actionable insights that inform commercial decisions.
  • Apply statistical and mathematical techniques to improve pricing accuracy and business outcomes.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for stakeholders.

Commercial Performance and Reporting

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing, revenue, and product performance.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management decision-making.
  • Support financial modelling and scenario analysis for commercial planning.

Stakeholder Engagement and Project Management

  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, technology, and commercial teams to align pricing strategies.
  • Manage cross-functional projects related to product development and pricing initiatives.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels and provide clear, data-driven recommendations under pressure.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing frameworks, analytical tools, and commercial processes.
  • Contribute to the transformation of Telecel Ghana’s product and pricing capabilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging telecom innovations.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer analytics, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical capability with proven analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in combining commercial insight with technical modelling.
  • Proven track record in data analysis, pricing, or revenue optimization roles.
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to deliver within deadlines.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills.
  • Advanced ability to interpret and model complex data sets.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analytical outputs.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels with confidence and professionalism.
  • Calm under pressure with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and advanced Excel skills (additional analytics tools are an advantage).
