We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and results-oriented TV Station Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall management and operations of Coastal TV. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a growing television station that delivers impactful programming and serves communities across Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

As the TV Station Manager, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the overall operations of the television station.
  • Oversee programming, production, news, engineering, marketing, and administrative functions to ensure efficient station performance.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the station’s mission, vision, and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with broadcasting regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and delivery of high-quality television content.
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor financial performance, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams while promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, community leaders, advertisers, development partners, and other key partners.
  • Drive audience growth, brand visibility, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee risk management, crisis response, and operational continuity during breaking news, technical incidents, and other high-pressure situations.
  • Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of emerging broadcast technologies and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration, Journalism, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in television broadcasting, station operations, media management, or broadcast leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of television production processes, broadcasting operations, and media management principles.
  • Knowledge of broadcasting regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position based in the Central Region of Ghana.
  • The role may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holiday work to support broadcast operations.
  • The position combines office-based responsibilities with regular visits to studios, production facilities, and field locations.
  • The successful candidate should be prepared to manage operations during breaking news, live broadcasts, technical emergencies, and other time-sensitive situations.

Reporting Line

The TV Station Manager will report directly to the Executive Director, General Manager, Station Ownership, or another designated organizational leader, as applicable.
