We are seeking a highly skilled, analytical, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will support financial reporting, accounting operations, ERP-based financial management, and internal control processes to ensure accurate and efficient financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

As an Accountant, you will:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare financial schedules and reports to support business decision-making.

SAP ERP Financial Management

You will:

  • Use SAP accounting modules to process financial transactions and generate financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate data entry, validation, and maintenance of financial information within the SAP system.
  • Monitor accounting transactions and resolve system-related issues promptly.
  • Support improvements in financial processes and workflows through effective use of SAP ERP solutions.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

You will:

  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and account reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of financial transactions and supporting documents.
  • Ensure timely processing of payable and receivable activities.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

You will:

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support management decisions.
  • Monitor expenditure patterns and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
  • Assist in evaluating financial performance against business objectives.

Compliance & Internal Controls

You will:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate documentation and financial information.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Assist with tax preparation, statutory reporting, and regulatory submissions.

General Finance Support

You will:

  • Prepare financial documentation, schedules, and reports as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance Department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting.
  • Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • An MBA in Accounting or professional qualifications such as ICA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience working as an Accountant in a corporate environment.
  • Hands-on experience using SAP Accounting modules is mandatory.
  • Experience in the mining, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, or related industries will be an advantage.
