Position Summary
The Finance Manager will oversee the resort’s financial operations, provide strategic financial leadership, and ensure sound financial management practices. The successful candidate will develop financial strategies, manage budgeting and reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, and support informed business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the resort’s business objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Prepare long-term financial plans and cash flow projections.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Financial Management and Reporting
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor financial performance and analyse variances against budgets.
- Produce management reports that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory and regulatory financial reports.
Budgeting and Cost Control
- Monitor departmental budgets and expenditure.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement effective cost-control measures without compromising service quality.
- Support department heads in managing financial performance.
Treasury and Cash Flow Management
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital.
- Monitor cash positions to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Oversee payment processes and receivables management.
- Maintain effective financial controls over cash transactions.
Compliance, Audit and Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and accounting standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control systems.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Safeguard company assets through effective financial governance.
Payroll and Financial Administration
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely salary payments.
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Improve financial systems and reporting processes through continuous process improvement.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Establish performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Build strong working relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA Ghana, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least three (3) years in a managerial role.
- Experience within the hospitality industry is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, budgeting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
