We are seeking a friendly, professional, and service-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will provide outstanding dining service, ensure guest satisfaction, and contribute to maintaining the hotel’s high standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Dining Experience

As a Waiter/Waitress, you will:

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous, and professional service.
  • Present menus, explain available food and beverage options, and provide recommendations where required.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams.
  • Serve meals and beverages efficiently while ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.
  • Respond professionally to guest requests, feedback, and concerns.

Order Management & Service Delivery

You will:

  • Ensure accurate processing of guest orders and maintain service standards throughout the dining experience.
  • Confirm guest preferences and special requests to deliver personalised service.
  • Coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, and front office teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor table conditions and ensure guests receive timely assistance.
  • Process bills accurately and handle payments in line with company procedures.

Restaurant Operations & Hygiene Standards

You will:

  • Prepare dining areas before service and ensure tables are properly arranged.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards within dining areas.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, service standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Assist with restaurant setup, closing procedures, and stock checks as required.

Customer Relationship Management

You will:

  • Build positive relationships with guests and create a welcoming dining atmosphere.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and exceed expectations.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Promote hotel services, menu items, and special offers to guests.

Team Collaboration

You will:

  • Work closely with colleagues to achieve excellent service delivery.
  • Support team members during busy periods and special events.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants should possess:

Educational Qualification

  • A minimum of Senior High School Certificate (SHS) or equivalent qualification.
  • A certificate or training in Hospitality, Catering, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field will be an advantage.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress, Restaurant Attendant, or similar hospitality role is preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel, restaurant, or customer service environment will be an advantage.
