Sales Engineer (Full-Time)

Location: Accra, Ghana

We are seeking a technically skilled and commercially driven Sales Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with sales experience who can understand client requirements, provide technical solutions, and drive business growth through effective customer engagement.

Role Summary

The Sales Engineer will combine engineering knowledge with sales expertise to identify customer needs, develop tailored fire protection solutions, manage client relationships, and support the delivery of high-quality technical services. The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering team to ensure customer requirements are effectively addressed.

Key Responsibilities

As the Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive sales prospecting and market engagement.
  • Manage and grow assigned client portfolios by building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Conduct active market penetration activities to identify potential clients and emerging customer needs.
  • Assess clients’ technical requirements and recommend suitable fire protection solutions.
  • Develop customized sales engineering strategies based on client objectives and industry requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and solution recommendations to customers.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure proposed solutions meet client specifications and technical standards.
  • Support customers throughout the sales process, from initial consultation to solution implementation.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, client information, and performance reports.
  • Contribute to achieving company sales targets and business development objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or technical sales.
  • Prior experience within the fire protection industry will be an advantage.
  • Experience combining technical knowledge with customer-facing sales responsibilities is highly desirable.
