Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Consultant to provide specialist clinical care, deliver expert medical advice, and contribute to the continuous improvement of healthcare services. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients within your area of expertise.
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans that promote positive patient outcomes.
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and make informed medical decisions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and other specialists to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, ethical standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Support clinical governance activities and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Participate in continuing professional development to maintain specialist knowledge and clinical competence.
- Mentor and support junior medical staff where appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBChB, MBBS, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Specialist qualification in the relevant medical discipline from a recognized postgraduate medical college.
- Full registration and good standing with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana.
- Valid specialist practising licence.
- Relevant post-specialization clinical experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient relationship management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient-centred care.
