Position Summary
As the Product Manager – Retail Assets, you will lead the development, management, and optimization of the Bank’s retail asset products. You will identify market opportunities, enhance existing offerings, drive product performance, and collaborate across business, technology, and operations teams to deliver innovative lending solutions that meet customer needs and support the Bank’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Development
- Develop and execute strategies that grow the retail asset portfolio and improve product profitability.
- Design, launch, and manage innovative retail asset products that respond to customer needs and market opportunities.
- Oversee the complete product lifecycle, from concept and development through implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Review existing products regularly and implement enhancements based on customer feedback, market intelligence, and business performance.
Data Analysis and Business Performance
- Analyze product performance, customer behaviour, market trends, and portfolio profitability to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including product uptake, loan portfolio growth, utilization, and customer acquisition.
- Prepare analytical reports to support Sales, Profit and Loss (P&L), and strategic planning activities.
- Provide insights that improve business performance and support short-, medium-, and long-term planning.
Digital Innovation and Technology Integration
- Partner with technology teams to integrate digital capabilities that enhance the customer experience.
- Drive the adoption of digital lending solutions and innovative technologies across retail asset products.
- Collaborate with FinTech partners and development partners to introduce innovative financial solutions.
- Support the integration of retail asset products across the Bank’s digital ecosystem.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
- Work closely with Retail Banking, Risk, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Sales teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Provide product knowledge and support to frontline teams to improve product adoption and customer engagement.
- Build strong internal and external partnerships that support business growth and product innovation.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure all retail asset products comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and Fidelity Bank’s Credit Policy.
- Identify and mitigate product-related risks while maintaining strong governance and operational controls.
- Monitor regulatory developments and recommend product enhancements where necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification or professional certification is an advantage.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in product management and/or business development within the banking industry.
- Demonstrated experience in sales and operations management, with a proven ability to grow retail asset portfolios.
- Strong understanding of product development methodologies and lifecycle management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business data and market trends.
- Proven experience collaborating with technology teams to deliver digital banking solutions and innovative financial products.
- Sound knowledge of retail banking products, lending operations, credit policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of product profitability drivers and portfolio management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access, with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
