Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Class Teacher (Primary Department) – Science to join our academic team. The successful candidate will create a welcoming and engaging classroom environment that inspires students to explore scientific concepts, ask questions, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

The teacher will deliver high-quality Science lessons, promote inquiry-based learning, and support students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active participation.
• Develop students’ understanding of scientific concepts through practical activities, experiments, and real-world applications.
• Encourage students to develop observation, investigation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Use innovative teaching strategies, resources, and technology to enhance Science learning.
• Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Promote a positive attitude towards scientific discovery and lifelong learning.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
• Participate actively in school activities, meetings, and professional development programmes.
• Maintain effective classroom management and uphold the school’s professional standards.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum qualification: IGCSE and A’ Level certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in BSc, BA, or BEd.
• A professional teaching qualification will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience teaching Science within an international school environment will be beneficial.
