Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Support the Mechanical Engineering team in the maintenance and operation of plant equipment and machinery.
- Assist in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Participate in equipment inspections, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting activities.
- Support the monitoring of mechanical systems to improve operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Assist in preparing maintenance schedules, technical reports, and equipment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards during all engineering activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and report operational issues for timely resolution.
- Support inventory management for mechanical spare parts and maintenance materials.
- Participate in engineering improvement projects and continuous process optimization initiatives.
- Perform other engineering-related duties assigned by the Mechanical Engineering team.
Qualification Required & Experience
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized accredited institution.
- Eligibility to undertake the National Service programme for the 2026/2027 service year.
- Sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles, maintenance practices, and industrial equipment.
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, maintenance planning, and mechanical systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other engineering software will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
