Position Summary

MTN Ghana is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Personal Assistant to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer (CRCO). The successful candidate will provide high-level executive and administrative support to the CRCO, ensuring the efficient management of executive priorities, governance activities, stakeholder engagements, and operational coordination within the Risk & Compliance Division.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to manage confidential information while supporting a fast-paced executive office.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Executive Support

  • Manage the CRCO’s calendar, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Prioritize meeting requests to optimize the effective use of the CRCO’s time.
  • Prepare daily briefs, executive summaries, meeting packs, and background materials.
  • Coordinate correspondence, including emails, reports, memos, and confidential communications.
  • Draft, proofread, and edit reports, presentations, speeches, and executive communication materials.

Governance and Board Support

  • Coordinate the preparation of Board, Executive Committee (ExCo), and governance committee submissions and meeting documentation.
  • Track action items, deliverables, and follow-up activities arising from governance and leadership meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance standards relating to documentation, approvals, reporting, and record management.
  • Maintain accurate governance records and document repositories.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the CRCO’s office and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with executives, senior leaders, business units, regulators, and external partners.
  • Coordinate executive meetings and facilitate timely communication across stakeholders.

Risk & Compliance Administration

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Risk & Compliance reports.
  • Maintain departmental dashboards, document repositories, and operational records.
  • Assist in preparing risk registers, compliance updates, incident reports, and regulatory documentation where required.
  • Monitor departmental projects, milestones, strategic initiatives, and reporting deadlines.
  • Support implementation of the annual Risk & Compliance plan.

Operational Coordination

  • Assist with departmental budgeting, procurement activities, and expenditure tracking.
  • Coordinate office logistics, resource planning, and administrative activities within the Risk & Compliance Division.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative efficiency, strengthen governance processes, and enhance executive support services.
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the CRCO’s office.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • A First Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing executive support as a Personal Assistant to a C-Suite executive or in a similar senior executive support role.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Power Platform applications and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Strong executive communication and correspondence management skills.
  • Experience using meeting coordination, scheduling, and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent data, information, and document management capabilities.
  • Strong travel, logistics, and executive diary management skills.
  • Experience preparing executive presentations, reports, and business documents.
  • Excellent business writing, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management abilities.
  • Good project coordination and organizational skills.
  • Sound knowledge of office administration practices and procedures.
  • Excellent typing and computer literacy skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
