We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Diagnostician to join our growing technical team.

Job Summary

The Auto Diagnostician will diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-approved procedures. The successful candidate will identify root causes of vehicle issues, recommend effective repair solutions, and work closely with the workshop team to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in petrol and diesel vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and software.
• Interpret diagnostic codes, technical data, and manufacturer specifications to identify root causes of vehicle issues.
• Inspect vehicle systems, including engine management, transmission, ABS, airbag, climate control, suspension, and electronic control modules.
• Perform system testing and verify repairs to ensure vehicles meet performance and safety standards.
• Support mechanics by providing accurate diagnostic findings and recommended repair procedures.
• Update and maintain diagnostic reports, repair records, and service documentation.
• Calibrate vehicle electronic systems after repairs or component replacement where required.
• Keep diagnostic equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Stay informed about new vehicle technologies, diagnostic methods, and manufacturer updates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, workshop safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other workshop personnel when required.
• Perform other technical duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Auto Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in automotive diagnostics and fault finding.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic scanners and computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer service information.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple diagnostic tasks efficiently.
• A valid driver’s licence is an added advantage.
