Key Responsibilities
Operating Theatre & Surgical Support
- Prepare the operating theatre, surgical instruments, and equipment before procedures.
- Assist surgeons and clinical teams during surgical operations.
- Ensure all surgical instruments, supplies, and materials are available, properly prepared, and accounted for.
- Maintain strict infection prevention, sterilization, and safety standards within the operating theatre.
- Support smooth theatre operations by following established clinical procedures and protocols.
Patient Care & Monitoring
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Provide compassionate support and reassurance to patients throughout their clinical journey.
- Observe and report changes in patient conditions promptly to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies within the operating theatre.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate patient care records and document theatre activities appropriately.
- Follow hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and professional healthcare standards.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A Certificate in Nursing Assistant Clinical (NAC) or Diploma in Nursing/related healthcare field.
- A valid professional licence or registration from the relevant regulatory body.
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant clinical experience.
- Previous experience working in an Operating Theatre will be an added advantage.
