Job Summary

The Accountant manages day-to-day financial operations, ensures accurate reporting, and supports strategic decision-making through reliable financial data. The role requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Transactions Management

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions effectively.
  • Process invoices and expense claims in a timely manner.
  • Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and bank deposits.
  • Record and process all financial transactions accurately.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Produce periodic financial reports for management review.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to support decision-making.

Financial Operations Support

  • Reconcile bank statements and oversee banking activities.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and procedures.

Budgeting and Administrative Support

  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance function as required.
  • Perform data entry and other related duties efficiently.

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Possess 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Have experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and statutory filings.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Show working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks and/or Tally.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess or be pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAG).
  • Demonstrate experience with statutory filings and payroll support.
