Location: Accra, Ghana

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to support our financial management processes and contribute to effective financial planning, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and Ghana Free Zones regulations where applicable.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records regularly.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation and reports.
  • Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor cash flow and support effective treasury management activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all financial operations and reporting activities.

Educational Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Accounting or Finance such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification is required.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Ghana Free Zones regulations and financial compliance requirements.
  • Experience working within a corporate or multi-sector business environment will be an advantage.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
