Position Summary
The Quality Control Manager leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality control systems to ensure products consistently meet required standards, specifications, and customer expectations.
The role drives product excellence by overseeing testing, inspections, laboratory operations, and process optimization, while working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain operational discipline and product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
The Quality Control Manager will:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and technical specifications.
Design, review, and optimize concrete mix formulations to achieve required strength, performance, and durability standards.
Oversee product testing, inspections, and laboratory operations, ensuring proper equipment calibration, maintenance, and accuracy of results.
Conduct routine site audits to identify quality gaps and implement timely corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with Production, Projects, and Business Development teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve operational performance.
Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, reports, and certification records in line with regulatory and company requirements.
Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality incidents and implement sustainable corrective measures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
Train and mentor teams on quality standards, best practices, safety requirements, and production discipline.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a First Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Demonstrate a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in quality control, preferably within the manufacturing or construction materials industry.
Apply strong technical knowledge of concrete technology, materials testing, and quality assurance systems.
Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory standards accurately.
Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate strong reading and comprehension skills with the ability to review technical documentation and compliance requirements thoroughly.
Operate proactively, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Uphold high standards of integrity, accuracy, and accountability.
