Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Alumni Support Officer to strengthen career development, entrepreneurship support, and engagement services for CorpsAfrica alumni. The successful candidate will actively guide alumni through career counseling, job placement support, mentorship facilitation, and professional development while building strong partnerships with employers and ecosystem stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
1. Personalized Career Counseling (PCC) & Mentorship Facilitation
- Deliver personalized career counseling sessions (individual and group) for alumni, especially within their first six months post-service
- Apply validated career assessment tools (e.g., Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Holland Code) to assess skills, interests, and career readiness
- Lead goal-setting workshops and support alumni in developing SMART career plans
- Collaborate with local NGOs to deliver joint career development training programs
- Identify, match, and connect alumni with professional mentors through structured mentorship programs
2. Job Boards & Referral Network Management (Ghana Job Listings)
- Build and maintain a centralized job board that consolidates opportunities from platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and local job boards
- Curate and share at least six verified job, internship, or fellowship opportunities monthly
- Maintain relationships with employers and encourage direct job postings for alumni
- Strengthen referral networks by engaging alumni to share job leads
- Ensure all job postings clearly state eligibility, deadlines, and application steps
3. Alumni Database Management & Reporting (Remote Opportunities Tracking)
- Maintain and update the alumni database using platforms such as Salesforce or Airtable
- Track alumni employment, education, entrepreneurship, and engagement outcomes
- Ensure quarterly data updates, verification, and reporting accuracy
- Comply with data protection standards (e.g., GDPR)
- Generate impact reports to support decision-making and donor reporting
4. Alumni Engagement & Professional Development
- Manage communication channels including newsletters and social media platforms
- Organize workshops on CV writing, interview skills, public speaking, and financial literacy
- Facilitate networking events with employers and industry professionals
- Lead Alumni Spotlights to highlight success stories and inspire stakeholders
- Engage alumni in CorpsAfrica programs, training sessions, and outreach activities
5. Entrepreneurship Support
- Deliver entrepreneurship coaching, mentorship, and business development guidance
- Provide access to funding opportunities including grants and microloans
- Support financial literacy training (budgeting, saving, investment, credit access)
- Strengthen agribusiness support through training and market access initiatives
- Guide alumni through funding application processes
6. Alumni Connect Platform Engagement
- Contribute job postings, success stories, and resources to the Alumni Connect platform
- Promote active engagement and collaboration among alumni users
- Gather user feedback to improve platform functionality and relevance
7. Monitoring, Evaluation & Feedback Systems
- Implement surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms to improve alumni services
- Track KPIs including employment rates, entrepreneurship outcomes, and engagement levels
- Use data insights to refine programs and improve alumni outcomes
- Ensure alumni feedback informs continuous program improvement
8. Well-being & Administrative Support
- Support access to mental health resources through partner organizations
- Streamline application processes for scholarships and funding opportunities
- Provide regular feedback to central teams and leadership on alumni needs
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in career counseling, alumni relations, program coordination, or youth development
- Experience in nonprofit, NGO, or international development settings is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in database tools (Salesforce, Airtable) and digital platforms for job boards
- Ability to collect, analyze, and report data accurately while ensuring data privacy compliance
- Strong network-building skills with employers, NGOs, and ecosystem partners
- Good understanding of job markets, entrepreneurship systems, and youth development trends
- Strong organizational and event management capabilities
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to diverse alumni needs
- Strong commitment to the mission of CorpsAfrica
