Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Artisan III – Rigger to join our team in Tarkwa. The successful candidate will perform rigging operations safely and efficiently, support control room activities, and contribute to the smooth functioning of plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute rigging operations, including lifting, hoisting, and securing equipment safely.

  • Support and coordinate with the Control Room team to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Inspect and maintain rigging equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

  • Apply problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet operational goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Middle School Leaving Certificate (MSLC) or Junior High School Certificate (JHS) with NVTI Grade 1.

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years as a Rigger or in a similar role.

  • Certifications: Relevant Certificate of Competence.

  • Skills:

    • Well-developed oral and written communication skills in English.

    • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Demonstrable understanding of Control Room operations.

    • Hands-on approach with the willingness to work long hours when necessary.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Medical fitness for the role and working environment.

    • Valid driving license and proficiency in operating light-duty vehicles.
