Job Summary

A reputable organization operating within a confidential capacity is seeking a highly experienced and analytical Assistant Manager, Research to support strategic decision-making through high-quality research, data analysis, and evidence-based insights. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a professional and welcoming research environment while leading applied research initiatives that inform policy, programs, and organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a professional and collaborative environment that promotes rigorous research and knowledge sharing.

  • Lead and support applied research studies, including study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

  • Oversee monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to assess program effectiveness and impact.

  • Conduct advanced data analysis and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for management.

  • Prepare high-quality research reports, policy briefs, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supervise and mentor junior research staff and consultants.

  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards, data quality protocols, and research best practices.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support evidence-based planning and reporting.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

    • Minimum of ten (10) years’ professional experience in applied research, data analysis, monitoring, and evaluation.

    • Demonstrated experience in managing complex research projects and large datasets.

    • Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.

    • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills.

    • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

    • Applicant must reside in Accra.
