Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Assistant Matron to support the management of catering, hospitality, and residential welfare services. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring high standards of food service delivery, hygiene, and student welfare within the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Matron in managing catering and hospitality operations
• Supervise food preparation, service, and hygiene standards
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, dining areas, and related facilities
• Assist in monitoring food quality, portioning, and presentation standards
• Support student welfare and residential catering services where applicable
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Assist in inventory management and proper use of catering supplies
• Guide and support catering staff and trainees in daily operations
• Ensure smooth coordination of catering activities and schedules
• Carry out assigned duties efficiently and within required timelines

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Catering, Hospitality Management, Home Economics, Nutrition, or a related field
• Experience in catering, hospitality, or institutional food service is an advantage
• Strong practical knowledge of food service operations and hygiene standards

Requirements

• Valid Ghana Card (mandatory)
• National Service Certificate, where applicable
• Medical fitness certificate from a Government Medical Officer
• At least two (2) verifiable references
• Strong sense of discipline, professionalism, and responsibility
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a structured institutional environment
