Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Matron to oversee catering, hospitality, and institutional welfare services. The successful candidate will provide leadership in food service management, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain high-quality service delivery across all catering operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise catering and hospitality operations within the institution
• Ensure high standards of hygiene, food safety, and service quality
• Oversee food preparation, distribution, and presentation processes
• Manage and coordinate catering staff and trainees effectively
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Oversee inventory management and proper utilization of resources
• Develop and implement operational standards and service procedures
• Provide mentorship and leadership to catering and support staff
• Coordinate catering schedules and institutional food service delivery
• Ensure efficient and timely execution of all catering activities
• Maintain accurate records and operational reports

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Master’s Degree in Catering, Hospitality Management, Home Economics, Nutrition, or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year post-Bachelor’s relevant experience in catering or hospitality management
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a similar role

Requirements

• Valid Ghana Card (mandatory)
• National Service Certificate, where applicable
• Medical fitness certificate from a Government Medical Officer
• At least two (2) verifiable references
• Professional qualification in Education (for teaching-related responsibilities, where applicable)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills
• High level of discipline, professionalism, and accountability
• Ability to manage teams and operate in a structured institutional environment
