Position Summary
The Associate Professor of Pathology / Laboratory Medicine will provide advanced academic leadership in teaching, research, curriculum development, and scholarly engagement within the discipline. The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening laboratory and diagnostic sciences education, enhancing research productivity, mentoring faculty and students, and advancing the University’s academic reputation.
This role requires an accomplished academic or clinician-scientist with a strong publication record, proven teaching experience, and demonstrated leadership in Pathology or Laboratory Medicine.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A minimum of a PhD in Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, or a closely related discipline.
OR
- For clinicians, a minimum Membership Certificate from a recognized professional body in a relevant medical specialty.
Research Requirements
- Must have a minimum of twenty-four (24) publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated record of sustained scholarly contributions and academic excellence.
- Proven experience supervising postgraduate research and mentoring academic staff and students.
