Job Summary

The Auto Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, practical problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience working with both standard and heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs on vehicles and machinery.
• Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance activities.
• Repair and maintain heavy-duty vehicles and equipment efficiently.
• Respond to roadside breakdowns and provide emergency repair support when required.
• Inspect vehicle systems and components to identify technical issues.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and workspaces remain clean, organized, and safe.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety and sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.

Educational Requirements

• WASSCE, HND, or NABTEX certification in Automobile Engineering or a related technical field.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2–4 years of working experience in vehicle and machine repair and maintenance.
• Experience servicing heavy-duty vehicles and machinery is required.
• Practical roadside auto mechanic experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and orderliness within the workshop environment.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure when handling urgent repairs.
• Good problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
