As part of our growing operations, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Automobile Workshop Supervisor to join our technical team.


Job Summary

The Automobile Workshop Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the resort’s automotive workshop, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are maintained in optimal condition. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and service quality.


Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily workshop operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Assign repair and maintenance tasks to technicians and mechanics based on skills and workload.
  • Monitor job progress and ensure all tasks are completed within set timelines.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults and provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and workshop consumables.
  • Coordinate the timely procurement of spare parts and maintenance materials.
  • Ensure all workshop equipment and tools are properly maintained, calibrated, and serviced.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare periodic workshop performance reports for management review.
  • Enforce compliance with occupational health and safety regulations within the workshop.
  • Promote the safe and proper use of all workshop tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Investigate and report workplace incidents, accidents, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

  • Diploma, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in automobile repair and maintenance.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a workshop environment (an added advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of internal combustion and electric vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
  • Good understanding of workshop operations and management practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in workshop management systems and basic computer applications.
